Team Continuing Education!

CLPHI staff participated in two conferences simultaneously this August. Laura Knudsen, 

Rebekah Hamilton, Sossity Rapoza, Sharla-Ann Fujimoto, and Valerie Grab (pictured) took part in the 46th National Child Welfare Law Conference in Minnesota while Madeline Tomasino-Reed, Asia Vanavichai and Sarah Rice attended HawaiÊ»i's 17th Annual Child Welfare Update Conference on OÊ»ahu.

Taking ʻOhana Day to Maui!

CLPHI, in partnership with the Attorney General’s Office and our community partners, was thrilled to celebrate 15 children exiting state custody through adoptions and guardianships for Maui's Ê»Ohana Day!

2022 National Adoption Day!

CLPHI proudly supported the 5th annual Adoption Day and Ê»Ohana Day Celebration. This was a special day when 16 keiki were granted permanency by the 3rd Circuit Court Family Court in Hilo, marked with family photos, gifts, toys, and many happy tears.

CLPHI Celebrates Ohana Day / National Adoption Day 

We joined forces with the Third Circuit Judicairy and Child Welfare Services to celebrate our Fourth Annual ʻOhana Day or National Adoption Day, held on November 19, 2021.

We coordinated adoption and guardianship hearings on this day and shared backpacks, clothes, books, toys, games, and food to the children, youth and their families.
